Reclaiming the craft room

Well today has been an interesting one to say the least, it all started when Mr Marvel bought a new PC...let me take you back to Monday.

The 'PC' arrived (in bits) and was duly assembled by Mr Marvel and his glamourous assistant Geoff, this may not be such a big deal but for a games programmer who only has a macbook this was big news in the KSC household. Once the living room was cleared of computer components and I had come down from the ceiling we decided that the Marvel cave needed a bit of a re-vamp, I had to have a little lie down at this point as I sensed a trip to IKEA was on the cards but thankfully this was not the case.

Much moving, clattering and filling the garage later the Marvel cave had been souped up, the PC is connected to the 32 inch tv (don't ask) and he is happily playing fighting games in there as I type, he deserves it living with me is hard work. The problem with this re-vamp was that I decided that I had to do it too, yes thats right the spare bedroom (which has always been my semi-craft room, well yarn storage) needed a makeover. Seriously, why was I not put in a darkened room at this idea? Well HOURS after I started I have to say I am pretty happy with the results!

We used to have a bed in here but decided that I just cover it in yarn so yes, you guessed it, its now in the garage and in its place a nice big desk to sew on :) I've re-organised all my sewing things and provided them with their own shelving unit (sneakily retrieved out of the garage when Mr Marvel was not looking). Everything has a place now and I am happily sitting in here now basking in my organised glory (trying to ignore that I need some curtains putting up), staring at the giant yarn baby on my desk which I think is about to consume me...
