Episode 8 - And now we return to our regular programming

Hi everyone, Here are the shownotes for episode 8. Knitscene Spring 2012 Unravel Friday Studios   - for gorgeous hand dyed fibre, yarns and handspun by Frida herself. Link to the spin love fibre gorgeousness Cake recipe Ingredients: 4 eggs 200g margarine 200g self raising flour 200g caster sugar 2 tsp chocolate orange cocoa powder (or just plain cocoa if you prefer) Orange marmalade (for filling) 100-120g orange chocolate (for topping) Buttercream filling 90g margarine 45g of icing sugar (add more to suit your preferred consistency) Equipment: 2 18cm round baking tins Instructions: Heat the oven to 180 degrees. Mix the sugar, margarine and eggs together. Sift in the flour and cocoa powder. Mix well and seperate evenly into the 2 baking tins, bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes or until cooked prope...

I promise episode 8 will be with you all soon... In the meantime I am prepping some things for review, I received some gorgeous Shetland fibre from Friday Studios and I am going to spend the evening spinning this up into something delicious so I can review it on the next episode. It's very beautiful and squidgy so I am looking forward to playing with it after a long hard day of work! I'm currently knitting Wingspan at the moment, only started it yesterday morning and am halfway through the second triangle already, such a super quick and fun knit but more of that on the podcast. Reclaiming the craft room

Well today has been an interesting one to say the least, it all started when Mr Marvel bought a new PC...let me take you back to Monday. The 'PC' arrived (in bits) and was duly assembled by Mr Marvel and his glamourous assistant Geoff, this may not be such a big deal but for a games programmer who only has a macbook this was big news in the KSC household. Once the living room was cleared of computer components and I had come down from the ceiling we decided that the Marvel cave needed a bit of a re-vamp, I had to have a little lie down at this point as I sensed a trip to IKEA was on the cards but thankfully this was not the case. Much moving, clattering and filling the garage later the Marvel cave had been souped up, the PC is connected to the 32 inch tv (don't ask) and he is happily playing fighting games in there as I type, he deserves it living with me is hard work.
